First time Cruiser

Sail Date: January 02, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

My family enjoyed most everything about our first cruise. the ship was clean, the food was good and there was plenty of things to do on the ship.

Pros: Food and available entertainment

Cons: Rooms a little smaller than I thought they would be. Wish it had climbing wall and maybe water slide.

Recommends Norwegian Sky? Yes!

Ship Quality
Layout was easy to make your way around.
Entertainment
Good entertainment but wish they would have had more than 1 black jack single deck table. It would also be nice if while you were playing card games that either some drinks were provided like in most casinos or at least a discount.
Cabin / Stateroom
Not ever being on a cruise ship we were not prepared for the small room at first but got used to it. It was clean and taken care of daily by the employees very well.
Service and Staff
We did not require alot of special attention but when we did ask for help we received it without any problem.
Food and Dining
I had read some reviews complaining about the food but I was I was impressed with the food. You have the opportunity to upgrade your dining if you are not happy with the food that is provided within your cruise package by dining in the places that have a surcharge but we did not see the need to do that.
Nassau, Bahamas
All we did was walk around town a little looking in a few shops and then took a cab to what we were told was the only public beach and enjoyed our time on the beach.
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Walked to the Light House which was not all that great but ok to get some excercise. Snorkled and enjoyed that.
