Ship: Norwegian Sky (RETIRED) 139 Reviewed: 7 years ago
My husband and I went on the Sky last August 2001, as first time cruisers. We had a great experience, the ship was very good, the service was fine. The food in the cafe wasn't that good, but in the spectiality restaurants, it was very good (you pay 10 USD for dinner). Pizzas were one of the greatest -- and you could get them 24 hours!! We went whale watching in Juneau -- wonderful experience! We also went on a helicopter with a glacier landing in Skaway (worth the 200 USD spent!).In Victoria, we went to Butchart Gardens. The Inside Passage is a wonderful place to rediscover nature!!! We were very satisfied with the itinerary, embarkation and service. The entertainment was outstanding. This ship is 60% senior, so don't expect to have a very active nigthlife. If you want to a have a relaxing vacation, but with a lot to explore ashore, this is the cruise for you!!!
