My overall evaluation of our cruise experience is a positive one. The cabin stewards and dining room staff were wonderful. In all of our encounters staff members were friendly and helpful and that helps to make for an enjoyable week's cruise. The food was generally good with an occasional disappointment. The specialty dining was very good and is suggested for a different dining experience. The staterooms and bathrooms are a bit small, when compared to some of the newer and larger ships, but comfortable for 2 people. The staterooms do not contain a safe, something we have come to depend on when cruising. Two suggestions for NCL: first, make the Stardust Lounge smoke-free. With a lot of people and the low ceiling, it became uncomfortable during the evening's entertainment and we had to leave. Second, enforce the no children in the casino rule. On a number of occasions I saw mothers playing the slots with young children running around the casino or sitting on a stool next to the mother. This happened too many times to be an occasional incident.
