Ship was very nice. Easy to get around. Buffet for breakfast and lunch had a great varity of food. Seating area is crowded. You can sit in La Cunina for breakfast and lunch if you can not find a seat. Main dining room was okay, not a great selection. Mambos - good - Blue Lagoon - good. Did like the free style dining. No problem making reservations. Just make them the day before. Service was very good. Shows okay. Bowling was fun. Bingo very expensive. Coke card expensive. Overall great cruise. Really enjoyed Alaska.

There was not a single dinner we experienced that was just average. All the restaurants and their menus were absolutely first class, including the cafeteria called the Garden Cafe. The range of excursions was excellent. All the amenities, e.g. spa, library, fitness room, etc. were also fantastic. But overall, the best thing was the first class customer servicing attitude of the entire staff. We would gladly take this trip tp Alaska again--and hopefully, on the Norwegian pearl again, too!

This was a wonderful cruise experience! The ship was beautiful and so clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely "to die for." Especially the steak house. We are planning a cruise this winter with our daughters on the same ship.

Ship was beautiful. Make sure you make a early reservation if you want to go to the specialty restaurants. There was hand sanitation machines through out the ship, very clean! We played Wii at the crystal atrium, kids loved. The chocoholic buffett taste was my least favoriate. Stateroom decor was very nice.

Beautiful ship..with a few exceptions service was not good. Overall the crew seemed very sad. It was as if we were a bother to them. The food was really a disappointment. It was pretty good in the speacialty resturants where they charged a cover, but the buffet and main dining were poor. Maybe thats how they drive you to pay for the speacialty resturants. The whole freestyle thing was overated and misrepresented. Resvervations were difficult to make & many other eating areas were closed early. It was almost as if they were short staffed or at least mismanaged. As ususal on a cruise, the drinks were overpriced but that seems to be the norm. The excursion desk was very bad, poor information on tours and only open 2 hours daily 7-9 during dinner hours and they were unfriendly. On other cruises, we booked on the TV in our stateroom which was much easier. Many people on the ship had that virus and were sick most of the cruise. 2 in our group of six were sick. Disembarking was really unorganized and extremely slow, I'm sure they would blame customs. The one bright spot was our cabin stewards who were very nice. It was a great itinerary and the ports were diverse and fun. We made the best of it, but I could not recommend NCL for future trips.

My husband and I returned a few days ago from a 5 day cruise to Mexico (Cozumel) and Belize (Belize City). We had a great time, and wanted to share our experience with others. To put this review in perspective, I'm 24 and my husband is 33 and we've cruised twice before, on Royal Caribbean (Serenade of the Seas) and Celebrity (Summit). On this cruise with NCL, we cruised from Miami. The ship is spotless, very new, and the staff (for the most part), is very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The entertainment at night was great, the food was fresh and plentiful, and the ports of call were beautiful. Overall, a really amazing cruise, one we'll recommend to all our friends.

First the idea of free style cruising with a baby, sound great. You can eat when ever you want, (at the babys schedule). Once you get on the ship, you realize that you have to make reservations to any restaurant on board, except the buffet. We where actually turned away on more then one occasion, because we didnt have reservations, they wouldn't even let us wait. They advertise all these great restaurants, what they dont tell you is that if you want to enjoy them, you have to pay a cover, yes a per person cover to eat there. You have to pay a 15.00 cover to get to all the rest. Except the Tex mex rest and the Italian rest. and oh yeah, the steak house had a 20.00 cover to it. Lets not forget the industry first of a bowling alley on the ship. Its great 4 lanes for 3000 passengers, I take my son down to go bowling the man tending the lanes tells me that it would be about an hour wait, we go walk around the ship some more, to come back to the lanes in the hour that we were originally told, just so that the same man can tell me that I have 24 people in front of me to please check back in one hour. We never did get a chance to bowl, but I did see people handing over their ship card after the games, oh yeah, another hiding charge of 5.00 per game, per person. Room service.... Another joke. Menu was small, personal pizza, tea, and coffee, as assortment of the chef daily desserts. After a long day, we figured we would order as assortment of desserts, something for the wife, my son, and me to share. Well apparentently an assortment for NCL means one, thats right we got one piece of dessert. Room Steward. I dont believe they go the extra mile, being how you get a service charge to you onboard account daily for their tip, thats right they get their tips automatically, so why go the extra mile. Our lady wouldnt take out dirty plates, from the wonderful room service order, we had 2 adults and 2 children in our room, granted my daughter was 10 months and didnt need any bath supplies from them, we brought our own. That still leaves 2 adults and a child, they would leave just 2 towels, and 2 wash clothes, every night I had to call and ask for additional towel, and wash clothes, yes every night. I wouldnt recommend NCL to anyone that has cruised before, you will be highly disappointed.

Ship is brand new with a beautiful layout and many options especially for dining . Great shows and entertainment . Very easy embarkation and the best debarkation process in the industry . NCL is a great cruise line and free style is the way to go . Make reservations for dinner in the specialty restaurants at least a day ahead , theya re definitely worth it .

This is a beautiful Ship! Clean and comfortable, Norwegian sparred no expense...I found everything to be of the utmost quality. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. I can't think of a single thing I didn't like.

Norweign Pearl, largest ship I have ever been on. It is wonderful in every way. Staff very friendly and personalble. Great layout.

very nice cruise the waiting to make resverations in the different restaurants was not so great because you could not make them all at one time you had to do it every day and sometimes you couldn't get into the restauant you wanted or the time was too late to eat dinner.

Overall the trip was awesome. The ship was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. The freestyle dining was fantastic and the selection of foods were wonderful as well. The staff always smiling, friendly and accomodating. The staff wasn't too knowledgable about events taking place on the ship but they could tell you locations on the ship. Our 6 yr old attended the kid programs and the hours of operation worked well with the events offered for adults. The Easter egg hunt was a hit. The entertainment were professionally done and well worth seeing. The stateroom was very comfortable and our child couldn't wait to get back to the room to see what kind of towel animal the steward was going to make each night. The adult pool was nice but overtaken by teenagers. The other pool was great for kids with the slide and their own whirlpool. The rock climbing wall was a success and even fun for adults. The bowling alley was nice too but we didn't like to have to pay for each game. Gambling was fun and the free lessons 15 min prior was a nice touch. All the activities offered was exceptional. We loved the Pearl and plan to sail again.

Our cruise was great. If you want a more intimate ship, the Pearl may not be the best choice. There was a lot to do onboard. The specialty restaurants had great food. The buffet was delicious. We got to dock at all of our ports, which was nice to be able to get right on and off the ship. NCL features freestyle cruising and it really does deliver.

The ship was very clean, lots of staterooms, not very many public areas. Staff was unwilling or unable to help with any questions. Over half hour waits for bar service.

The new ship was overall very nice. I loved the double loungers by the pool and the cozy seating areas. The Flex caribbean band was so good. The pool area was too small and the Tahitian theme seemed cheap and tacky. We did always find a lounger on the main floor though by waiting till 2 or so. Overall the food was awsome with lots of variety. The main dining room started to get real chinsey on the seafood and vegatables. One shrimp??!!! The buffet was very popular with tons of choices and very good food. The cakes and brownies were tasteless- no real chocolate even on the chocalate buffet. Watch out for the ketchup on the great outdoors cafe sitting in the sun-almost put some bad rancid ketchup on my hotdog. Don't know why they leave it out in the heat. Also had some trouble clearing the tables in that area for some reason. The rest of the ship was spotless. The shows were very good.

Overall, the cruise was great. We sailed the southern caribbean and just returned March 25th 2007. We had a balcony cabin and traveled with our 1yr old son. It was a great cruise. The one thing that peeved me is that whenever drinks are bought, they automatically charge you a 15% gratuity but then add a tip line on your receipt as if an additional tip is expected. I never tipped any additional as i found this offensive. I feel they should allow you to determine the tip each waiter receives. If they only want 15%, thats what I'll give them.

The ship was terrific, Good amenities, very clean and upbeat. Service was very good. Daily activities paper not well laid out, announcements sometimes difficult to understand. Limited dance time and no dance classes. good bands however.

The ship was beautifully appointed and the service was excellent. Being in a suite was amazing and awarded us many perks. The concierge was great and allowed us to make and change restaurant reservations easily.

It was a lot of fun however I was disappointed that they changed the age requirement for Bliss to 21 since it was only 18 the last time I went on the same cruise.
