Review summary

Overall a fun and relaxing time. Again more of a party ship which I am not a fan of. Never been on NCL and unsure if will do again, I like a less party type cruise with not a lot of kids. This cruise was on my bucket list and a 50th birthday present to myself. If you are like me and hate crowds get the spa pass. Also spend a little more for a bigger cabin. Bermuda is awesome so much to do. My advice walk a bit to the bus depot near the port and buy tokens, this is the best and cheapest way to get around. Cheers all and happy cruising!

Embarkation

Controlled chaos. Scheduled a time to arrive, LONG lines to check in and it took some time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was Great! Ate at the buffet a few times no complaints at all. Cagney and Le Bistro ( speciality dining) was well worth it. Very impressed with the quality of the food.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Ok I must concur with other reviews it was darn near impossible to find a place by the pool on sea days. My advice do what we did get a week long pass at the spa! Quiet and plenty of room to relax. They had good musicians and lot of trivia which we love. No complaints here.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Musicians were great. We enjoyed Funky Roots. We saw a fun magician. We are not too big into shows but was satisfied.

Children's Programs

Did not bring the kid, but boy oh boy there were a lot of kids on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall a clean ship. Room steward was simply fantastic. Wait staff nice and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean clean and clean. Staff constantly cleaning the boat. The ship layout is a tad clunky (getting to the 6th floor was a challenge). We got used to it so no issues.

Cabin / Stateroom

OMG the balcony cabin was small. Bathroom and shower were awkward to get in and out of. I knew the room would be small based on my research but man it was really small and hard to maneuver with my wife present.

Ship tip

1. Know that this is a party boat, a lot of folks from the Boston area enjoying their vacation and alcohol. 2 We knew this going in and booked the spa for a week and it was nice and peaceful. 3 Book your specialty restaurants early we did it late and got 8 PM sittings. 4 The boat is understaffed so be patient. 5 Book your spa appointments on day 1 they filled up fast and were also understaffed.

Ports of call

Ok went to ST George on a Sunday, bad idea most shops were closed. Went to the pink sand beach Horse Shoe, OMG so nice! One of the best beaches I have ever been too! We booked the excursion thru NCL and had to rent chairs, you can easily take a taxi or the bus to the beach, it is free.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Lived in Maine in the past so familiar with this port, so we just walked around, the beautiful wife wanted a lobster roll went to The Thirsty Whale, a nice place cold beer and terrific food.

Disembarkation

Pretty easy much better then embarkation, more organized. Parked at the port and bam easy out.
