You get what you pay for... understaffed and crowded. Do yourself a favor and cruise with Royal Caribbean

After Checking in we were herded into a room with not enough chairs for over an hour. We arrived on time and still waited for way to long

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining rooms were just that, okay. The food seemed “institutional” at best. I was by no means impressed. It seemed like a low tier 3-star resort on a budget. We did not eat at a specialty restaurant, but purchased very good sushi in the asian restaurant. One of the members in our group did not get her meal at one point. The only made accommodation after the rest of the group had finished.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Bingo for $69, casino, random bands on deck. The normal “ass shakin” on the small pool deck with children present, worn out golf net, rock climbing (socks required), basket ball, late night bowling (socks required).

Shows were hard to follow, more of a confusing variety show. A comedian came one night, it was sad. There was a guy playing piano at the bar area. He was good the first night, but it was the same songs EVERY NIGHT!

Children's Programs

I did not bring children

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
I hate to say poor because there were a few of nice workers. However, a majority of the staff seemed dissatisfied with being onboard. All the bars were understaffed and everyone seemed too overworked to take anytime to speak to.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was clean, but you could tell was a older model that had been referbed. The “grand” central area was underwhelming at best. The rest was sooo compartmentalized it made it difficult to find things. The main dining room was on deck 6 but you had to access it from deck 7. You also had to walk through at least one restaurant when leaving you room to get to any other part of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had a decent size window. The beds were decent and we had 4 pillows. There were plenty of outlets. The bathroom was a nice size for once and the shower wasnt overly small. Plenty of storage and a mini bar that was accessible for a price.

Ship tip

Be prepared to wait in line for drinks everywhere! Get two at a time. Pool chairs go quick, very quick.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Miami is too expensive. The port itself is outdated and frustrating. So dumb....

Harvest Caye, Belize

Welcome to NCL Disney world sponsored by jimmy buffet and land shark. Your cruise pass does not work here. Two drinks: $17.95USD.... we took the ferry to Placencia. This was the best! Its a quiet fishing village across from Harvest Caye. They dont advertise it because NCL gets all their money from Harvest Caye. We had lunch at the tipsy tuna. Lunch, 5 buckets of local beer and a a few cocktails for $75? Yes please...! It was right on the beach and only a mile from the ferry.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

You het off the ship in a labyrinth of westernized shopping, its overwhelming and ridiculous. Once you navigate through the mess of shopping, starbucks, and harassing tour operators we were able to leave the port. We prearranged golf cart rental at Mayahaul. They are on Facebook and recommended. However, dont take their advice on the drunkin burrito! Stay away from that. I recommend goin go the Krazy Lobster for $5 buckets of baby coronas! And putting a chair in the surf.

Took almost 3 hours.... it was like the port didnt know cruise ships even were suppose to be there... i sent an email to miami customer service while waiting in line. When we finally got to the port agent he glanced at our passports and moved us through. 3 gate agents for 3,000 people.
