Review summary

Would 100% do this cruise and itinerary again. We weren't in love with going out of Miami or coming back to it. Everything just seemed a bit hectic. Overall, the ship is a little bit older, but we were never bored. The food was great and the entertainment was amazing as well.

Embarkation was pretty easy. The terminal we were in was kind of small, lots of people were left standing. I don't blame this on NCL at all. All in all, we boarded super easily!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was very good in both main dining rooms, buffet and O'Sheehans. We did not have the dining package, but I feel like we didn't suffer at all. The food from the buffet was a bit bland, but overall it was great. We loved the Great Outdoors buffet. It was super convenient for snacking at night and was a great place to sit if the buffet was crowded.

Onboard Activities

There are 2 pools on this ship which is a big plus for it's size. They, of course, were extra busy on sea days but there was always plenty of loungers/chairs to go around. We had the thermal spa package and it was fantastic.

Every night we went to whatever game show/dance party there was and they frequently used the Spinnaker Lounge. It is in the very front of the ship so it was a bit rocky at times, but there was always plenty of seating and fun! We were not huge fans of the Cruise Director, Tiara. She wasn't around very much and didn't host many of the parties. She seemed to leave that up to her staff, which was fine. The Assistant Cruise Director Guido was 10/10 and very entertaining and enthusiastic! The shows in the Stardust Theater were fantastic as well. The comedian they had was great and the Legends of Rock show was seriously amazing!! We didn't really like the acrobats/flyers or whatever they are called, but there were good. Just not our taste.

Service and Staff

Everyone on the ship was super friendly and helpful, no matter what you needed. Do not be afraid to ask!

Cabin / Stateroom

It was our first time having an inside cabin and we loved it! We did sleep a little but later since there was no outside light coming in. I wouldn't suggest more than two people in it as it was pretty tiny. Good for sleeping and stopping in for shorts amount of time, but didn't hang out in it much. It does have a pull down bed to make it sleep 3.

Ship tip

Have fun and be courteous. Don't treat the staff poorly or like they owe you. Treat them with respect and you will have an awesome cruise!

Ports of call

Harvest Caye, Belize

Harvest Caye was probably my favorite stop. I loved it! It is considered a cruise ship island, but you do have to pay out of pocket for everything. You cannot use your ship card. However, they have a pool, beach and Wildlife Experience all for free and they were all great! We spent most of our time at the pool, which is huge. Also, the beach sand was a but rocky for me, but that was just personal preference. The Wildlife Experience is a must. They have a beautiful butterfly garden.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
This is definitely a tourist port. The water is absolutely beautiful! There are no free beaches, but there is a pool in the town area which you can use. We walked through town and there were some cool experiences like natives dancing and some awesome wildlife. There are a lot of shops and the sellers can be pushy.

Miami, Florida

Disembarking was rough and I don't think that was NCLs fault. Miami's customs took longer than any other cruise we have done so it caused disembarking lines to be huge. Probably took us almost an hour to get off and through customs.
