its a "once in a lifetime" trip that must be taken. The scenery is amazing, for lack of a better word! We thoroughly enjoyed the Alaskan ports. However, we were not too impressed with the Norwegian Pearl ship that we were on. I highly recommend this trip though. The views outweighed our opinions of the ship.

Food and Dining

Food was decent, to say the least. But the dining room (Summer Palace) and the staff were great!

Entertainment

None of the entertainment piqued our interest (age of people: 30s & 60s)

Ship Quality

NCL Pearl needed updating. We had a balcony room: the paint was chipping on the pipe running over our balcony deck and the wooden handrail was in need of repair.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was decent. Bathroom was a little "tight" fitting.
