Norwegian Pearl Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Ship: Norwegian Pearl
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Family (young children)

Review SummaryWhen we entered the ship we were impressed by its clean lines, and smart approach. There were elevators, in the front, middle, and back- so there was really never any wait. The freestyle restaurants were perfect, but caution if you would like to dine at the SPECIALITY restaurants, you must book them immediately when you get on board, at extenion 050, or visit the blue lagoon on deck 8 for the reservation desk.
The pools were nice, the patio furniture was beautiful including 4 person bed like chaises with cushions. There was a kid pool with a slide, and a mister near the sun deck . There was also floaties available for the little ones, and ample pool towels set up in multiple locations. Bar service was great as well.
Food was pleantiful on the ship from the 11 or 12 restaurants, the garden cafe on 12, and the blue lagoon which is great for a comfort food snack. YOu will not go hungry on this ship. However, the food on the private island was not very good, so eat before, or after you get off the ship that day.
We had a handicapp room which was great. The entire ship was handicapp accessbile, many many ramps, and automatically opening doors. The staff was friendly, and helpful as well. The cabin was well appointed with a plasma t.v.
Pros: The ship was brand new, and beautiful. Almost exactly the same as the NCL Jewel. It also has a bowling alley, and a full time complimentary ice cream station (great for the kids). The kids club was non-stop, and my son could not wait to get in every day, and night. The cabins were nice sized.
Cons: Semana, the worst island I have ever been to. My children gave food, and money to poor children who had torn clothing, and no shoes. I have heard this island will be removed from the iterniary.
