Less than expected

Sail Date: April 01, 2010

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

Overpriced. Stewards were the worst I have ever experienced in years of cruising. Freestyle cruising I believe refers to when, or if, the stewards decide to clean or make-up your balcony suite. St. Thomas was the best port. Samana is a third world country and not ready for prime time.

Pros: Met some nice people

Cons: Samana, short stop at Tortola, limited excursion options

Recommends Norwegian Pearl? No.

Service and Staff
Stewards unbelievably limited. Forgot new towels after taking dirty ones...try drying off with a washcloth.
Food and Dining
Pretty average. Sushi bar is an excellent deal at a $15 premium.
Cabin / Stateroom
Underwhelming for a newer ship
Ship Quality
Newer ship. Small exercise area. Nickel and dime you on exercise classes and everything else. Pricey drinks.
Children's Programs
Big disappointment. Royal Caribbean was much more family friendly.
