Horrible experience

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was beautiful and our room very nice with a balcony but the service was so poor it was difficult to really enjoy the ship. When we first came on board we were herded away from the main room--where all the info was. There were already people in front of a massive TV screen watching a football game so it was difficult to get around. We went to our room and were very happy with it. But within minutes we realized the sewer was backing up into our toilet. It stayed that way for two and a half days and the rest of the time it smelled like sewer from the gases backing up. Only once did someone apologize and the rest of the time it was out right rude service. we found this through out the ship except in the restaurants you had to pay for and the spa--that you also have to pay for. The cruise was chaotic and in general a bad time. I cruised Royal C and it was fantastic--and it was an old ship---this was really disappointing. I never knew any staff person's name and the captain only came on the loudspeaker I think twice.

Pros: getting off the boat

Cons: the sewer backup and service
