A most enjoyable cruise
Norwegian Pearl Cruise Review to Panama Canal, Central America

Review SummaryOur cruise was on the Norweigan Pearl and the ship was very nice. The emphasis on cleanliness and use of hand sanitizers was great. The ports of call were good but the presentation given by Big Bob, who is in charge of shopping, was poor in that all recommended shopping was for jewelry. Not everyone really wants to buy jewelry. All the shows were very good and there were a variety of acts. There were many options for entertainment while at sea. Our captain kept us informed and he had a great sense of humor.
My biggest disappointment with NCL was in the documents provided prior to the cruise. There was not enough information given that would have made planning more convenient. The discriptions of the excursions were also lacking adequate information. We had to go to the Web for better information.
Of course, the food was great and there were a lot of choices. We did not eat in any of the speciality restaurants due to the additional "cover charge" which also was not noted in the preliminary information.

Pros: Freestyle cruising was very relaxing and there was a good selection of things to do.
Cons: Too many "extra" expenditures and the waiters harassing everyone to buy drinks.
