Norwegian Pearl

Sail date: March 29, 2009

Ship: Norwegian Pearl

Cabin type: Balcony

Review summary

Big and beautiful ship, I don't think we ever go through the whole thing in seven days! The staff was excellent, always cleaning. Cons: There were always lines to wait in - lines to get to port, to the tender boats, get back on the ship. Last day of departure took 2 hours and we used the "easy walk off" method. Others were sitting around even longer.

There was always a lot going on. It was sometimes difficult to see/do what you wanted.

Our excursion was cancelled by NCL, spent most of the day in port. The part of town we saw was very dirty and sad.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Although we scheduled a 12:15 parasail appointment, we didn't get out until 1:00 because someone paid to get the boat earlier so we had to wait. By the time we got back, the BBQ was over and I had to rush to use the snorkel equipment I rented earlier in the day when we arrived.

Pros: Freestyle Dining

Cons: Waiting in several lines
