Sail Date: March 01, 2009 Ship: Norwegian Pearl Cabin Type: Oceanview Traveled As: Family (older children) Reviewed: 8 years ago
This boat was very large how-ever I feel it was way overcrowded, we had a hard time all the time trying to locate a seat in the buffets for both breakfast and lunch and none of the crew staff was ever willing to help in our efforts to find a spot to sit and eat, also the food was not the greatest, I have been on 8 cruises in all and have seen much better, I went to celebrate my Birthday ordered lobster the lobster was over-cooked like rubber to be exact and was denied a refund from the pay restaraunt CAGNEYS, this is a last for me with this cruise line....thanks but no thanks....
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
food selection was great if you like pizza and french fries but for the everyday person that likes there meat and potatoes, the food was not great and it was cold all of the time, never hot, I like a hot meal every now and then...

too many people not enough seats and honestly the entertainment on Carnival was so much better, doesn't even compare to NCL's entertainment.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Most of the staff aboard were friendly how-ever I did encounter a few people unwilling to help in anyway when help was needed, this goes for poor customer service. I do want to say Nilo Bautista bar tender in the java cafe is remarkable and if we had him for every service our trip would have been perfect, needless to say I don't drink coffee 24/7 so our dealings with him were short but sweet...

The Ship was very large but too many people and not enough tables and chairs in the buffet area...
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The stateroom that I chose was a blocked window view, but it was nice, I would definitely choose this room again, I was on the 8th floor in close proximity to the elevator and stairs and also to the restaraunt, this was the best part of my trip I chose a great room in a good location.
Don't visit if you don't like to be harassed there wasn't a store that I went to on this particular island that didn't harass me and try and get me to make a purchase esepecially the jewelery stores, they are all very pushy!! not somewhere I feel the need to visit again unless of course I need medicine or something, I saw people crowding around pharmacy's like wildfire and am told you can purchase anything you want without a perscription, I personally don't agree with this and am all set.....
Don't Miss: I am told the ruins again I did not do a tour so this is just here-say.....
This was an ok port how-ever very pricey and there is no finagling it is what it is, so too me an ok port that is way over priced, I might visit again only to go to the beach
Don't Miss: I am told snorkeling but that is just here-say I did not snorkel while I was there.
I had kids following me putting their hands literally into my pockets trying to take money from me, this made me feel very uncomfortable, I would not visit Honduras again, EVER!!!!
Don't Miss: I can't imagine there is one....
let me see try putting 4 thousand people onto half an acre of land, it doesn't work out, this is how I would describe it, beauty wise it is wonderful, but size wise it is not big enough for the amount of people they try and accomodate ontop of the fact there are only enogh lawn chairs for about 50 people, I was raised on the morals of if there are not enough to go around then no one will have any, I saw girls there that had 3 chairs each, one for sitting one for laying and one for eating, that personally is not right and NCL did nothing about it, a good way to control this would be to allow one chair per person per state room and keep a record, yes its additional work but it would be more fair in the end and more people would be satisfied.
Don't Miss: Jet skiing if it's offered.
