A beautiful ship.....A great vacation

Sail Date: December 09, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship is beautiful and because it was built recently it has stabilizers which helped tremendously in our 15 foot waves from "OLGA"

Pros: The ship is huge and gorgeous

Cons: way too many extra fee or specialty restaurants

Recommends Norwegian Pearl? Yes!

Food and Dining
Food was good, but not great and there was at least five or six restaurants that charged an extra fee to eat at. One of them was an extra $30.00 per person. There was only about 5 restaurants left to choose from which were free and two of them had identical menus so the variety was not great either.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had an ocean view room. It was small, but clean and nice.
Children's Programs
I didn't like that Kids Crew would open at 7 then close at 10 then reopen at 10:30 and close at 1:00am - On my previous cruises with NCL, Kids Crew was open from 7-1 with no breaks inbetween.
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
Staff is great.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Beautiful beaches and water is clear and nice.
Cozumel, Mexico
We paid for a shore excursion which was WAY over priced. We could have gone to the same place for LESS than 1/2 the price of the excursion if we went on our own.
