Our Second Cruise to Alaska

Sail Date: July 08, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

It is a new ship and is clean and bright.

Pros: Clean new ship and excellent child-centered activities

Cons: Overcrowding, service and food

Recommends Norwegian Pearl? No.

Food and Dining
Dining room far too overcrowded and it is impossible to get a reservation, especially if there are more than two people.
Ship Quality
New ship - very nice, but overcrowded
Cabin / Stateroom
Very adequate statement - clean and roomy enough
Rangers brought on board did an excellent job of narrating glaciers, etc.
Service and Staff
Stateroom stewards did an admirable job. Except for a two or three notable exceptions, staff had no interest in helping out. Many, including Lattitudes representive, acted as if requests were a big imposition.
Children's Programs
Absolutely amazing program. Very impressed
Ketchikan, Alaska
If you want to buy diamonds, this is the place
Victoria, British Columbia
Butchart Gardens is an excellent venue, but was very crowded
