7 Night Bermuda (Charleston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: November 03, 2007
Ship: Norwegian Majesty
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Couple

The ship is small, but we enjoyed the quality entertainment and the activities. Unfortunately the seas were not condusive to a good time on the way to Bermuda. "Freestyle" cruising has plusses and minuses. It was nice to choose whatever restaurant we wanted and to choose the times we would eat. Many passengers went to far in the wrong direction as to the meaning of casual dressing.

Stewards were great, but the ship is a little old and worn.

There are basically three ports a cruise ship may dock in Bermuda. Hamilton would be best. St. George would be second best. The old Navy yard would be the least desirable. It only takes about a half day to see everything there needs to see in St. George. Since St. George is at the far Eastern end of the islands, that means you need to travel about an hour to Hamilton, the South side, and over an hour to the West end of the island.
Don't Miss: St. Peter's Church is the oldest Anglican church on the island dating back to the 1600s.

Pros: The crew was very friendly; service was great; makes stateside service look surley

Cons: Giant sea swells after Noel; Food was not consistantly good.
