This was my first time cruising and I wasn't impressed with the ship at all. The ship is very old and you can see wear and tear all over it. The sheets were gross and stained. I had to call room service to change them. The tiles in the shower were cracked and stained. The carpeting on the ship is starting to wear in places. While we were at port, there was constantly crew members doing maintainence. Painting, sanding, etc. The closed some of the buffet places and staircases because of this. Not a very pleasant smell while your trying to enjoy yourself. Weather wasn't great. but can't help that. We lost a day due to weather from the week before. The previous cruise did not arrive in Boston until Monday so our cruise was cut a day short. They gave us an onboard spending credit worth 1/7 of the price we paid for the cruise...not worth it. Losing a day in Bermuda really sucked. Didn't get to go to all the places due to lack of time.
Food and Dining

The food was very good. The lunch buffet could be better. Breakfast was good. They had lots of options. Dinner at the Seven Seas was great. Service was very slow at times. Took 45 minutes to get a drink order and they tried to double charge us. Staff was friendly. The frozen drinks were outstanding...epecially the pina coladas, hurricanes and cool runnings. They def don't skimp on the alcohol!

I wasn't impressed with the entertainment. They had a comedian who was very good. The theater is on the small side so if you don't get there a half hour early you won't get a seat. They had young crew members host some of the events. The disco wasn't great. The DJ was rude and didn't play most of our requests.
Service and Staff

The staff was good. Some of them went above and beyond. However, there were some who were absolutely rude and obnoxious. One guy did not leave us alone, constanly asking us questions and you couldn't even understand him. He would walk over and ask us if we needed drinks when he clearly saw us just get new ones. He was obviously in it for the money and not the service. The cruise director was "sick" for most of the cruise. Only saw her once. She had some obnoxious kid fill in for her. Wasn't impressed. Our stateroom steward was excellent. Always friendly and prompt. Great towel animals!

Like I mentioned, needs work in areas. They need to thouroughly clean the ship. I find it hard to believe that the ship was refurbished in 2005. It certainly doesnt look like it. I thought the ship would be bigger but apparently its one of the smallest ships that NCL has. Some of the windows were permanantly fogged up. You can't see out of them at all. There was rust all around the frames.
Cabin / Stateroom

Staterooms are very small. I expected it to be alot bigger. The beds weren't that comfortable. Had to have the sheets changed. They were stained yellow and the blankets had all kinds of food stains on them. The bathroom was very, very small and the shower tiles were cracked and stained. The free room service was nice to have, especially when you don't feel like going to the top deck to get something to eat. The only problem with that is it takes a half hour.
