A friend and I went on our first cruise ever to the Western Caribbean. We were supposed to dock at Georgetown on Grand Cayman first, but due to rough seas (14 foot swells) we were not able to make that port of call. The ride was very rough for the first two days and a lot of people got sick, but that is a chance you have to take when you book a cruise. We docked in Cozumel a day early which allowed us to go on a very lengthy excursion that we would not have been able to go on with the regular itinerary we were supposed to stay there, so that was a plus. Our two days in Cozumel were wonderful. The crew went out of their way to help plan new excursions and make it up to everyone that they didn't get to go to Grand Cayman. We docked with other ships that were not able to make their stop there either, so we knew the captain had made the right decision. The ride to Key West was a lot smoother and we enjoyed our stay there. All in all, the staff and crew of the Norwegian Majesty were outstanding in their hospitality and helpfulness. Since we had never been on a cruise before, we had nothing to compare it with, but we came home feeling like we had been spoiled rotten by our cabin steward and missed the special treatment that was given. Other than the weather we had a wonderful time and would travel the Majesty again.

Went on the discover Key West excursion which was mostly a lot of talking information while they drove you around the island. It was ok, but nothing special. Key West is obviously a big drinking town and are lots of bars. We went to Margaritaville, but it was very crowded and ended up eating and getting a drink at Sloppy Joes, which was a wild little place (wouldn't recommend it for kids). The people at the stores in Key West were a lot different than in Cozumel where they are open to bargaining.

We had a chance to visit the Tulum ruins and I was great. I was a long excursion, but well worth the ferry ride and bus ride. Our tour guide was excellent with information. We also went on the ATV Jungle excursion which was a lot of fun, even for those of us who had never ridden a 4 wheeler. Our guides were very patient.
Don't Miss: Both the Tuluum ruins and the ATV jungle adventure.

Pros: The service of the crew.

Cons: The weather was rough and we had to cancel a port call.
