7 Night Bermuda (Charleston Roundtrip)

Review summary

Ship had engine problems. late getting into Charleston. Had to stand in line for check in for over 2 hours in a dirty, dusty parking lot.. Cruise line gave $100. credit per cabin. Not enough. Prefer same waiters, same table dining. Food awful. Service..rushed, no interaction with waitstaff. Room stewards very good. Late arrival in Bermuda..early departure..lost over 1 day in port. Will re-visit Bermuda, but will fly. No more cruises unless I can afford Crystal or similar. Hopefully, they will have the old standard of fine cruising of years ago. Now it is all about money..production line. Oh, the entertainment on the Majesty very, very, bad.

Freeystyle dining- dress code is wonderful. Other than that, too much standing in line. Prefer same seating, same waitstaff. Optional dining- at a cost- wonderful service..food OK

Entertainment

One show- dancers who had to sing for auditions---2 of the girls were so off key- people were walking out--I couldn't stop laughing..lady next to me thought it was an act.

Hardly a smile in dining rooms. Waitstaff is so rushed ..a few were very friendly. Waitstaff in The Bistro, wonderful. Dining a pleasure. relaxed, not rushed. The way cruising used to be.

Did not have much time in port. Were told, due to engine problem, would leave early. Took the ferry to Hamilton. Very nice, comfortable ride. Took local bus back. Friendly, polite people, beautiful scenery.
