This was my second cruise and my families first.
The ship was fine though a bit small. The smoking sections were not closed off so all smoke filled surrounding areas. The casino was a big cloud of smoke and most of the activities were scheduled for the Rendezvous lounge which is a smoking lounge. The non-smoking area next to it was open and the smoke billowed in so the whole front of the 5th deck smelled including the stores! The non-smoking areas were crowded with little seating so you end up taking your drink for a walk. The Polo Bar next to the casino and theater was nice but again it was a smoking room and the smoke from the casino was billowing in as well.
The deck space above was OK but if you got up late forget finding a seat. Also the 2 pools were tiny and one (the more shallow) was adults only. 1/2 of the pool desk was also smoking permitted including Cigar and pipe which of course made it's way all over the place.
Our 2 kids were bored on the ship because all activities were in the kids crew and we didn't take our kids on vacation to be in day care. There were few "family" activities

Food and Dining

My wife has been in the food services industry for 20 years and was really looking forward to this aspect of the cruise.
This was our biggest disappointment. They advertise 5 restaurants to choose from but 2 (seven seas and four seasons) have the same menu. The observation deck is nice but hard to get a reservation in before 9PM. I am offended that I had to pay a $15 cover from Le Bistro. In our estimation there was no real choice of restaurant.
The menus were sub-par and the food was ok. Not our standard but not MacDonalds either. My wife and I prefer fine dinning and this was not that.
The staff in the restaurants were great and really saved a couple of meals for us by their suggestions.
Our best meals were by far on the island.

The only thing keeping this from "the Best" category for us was the location of many of the activities. They were held in the smoking area of the ship and we gave up on some because we didn't want to venture in at high smoke time.

Children's Programs

We did not use the kids crew (day care) because we were looking for a family vacation and wanted to spend time with our kids (before they are at an age where they don't want to be with us any more :-)). The Family activities were almost nil and that was disappointing. When we saw the kids crew on deck they seemed to be having fun but several kids were not happy to be without mom and dad.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
If not for the staff this would have been a lost vacation. They went out of their way over and over again to make sure we were taken care of and had what we needed. They were hamstrung by other things but they never didn't give 100%.

Ship Quality

Again there was just too much smoke and poor ventilation. The ship was older but in OK condition. The crew did their best to keep it clean..

Cabin / Stateroom

Again small but for changes and sleeping they were fine for the 4 of us. They are older but the staff (Amando and Nelson) were always around to assist and make animals out of towels for the kids. They couldn't do enough for us at ANY hour!
The bathroom was small but again it is a ships head and NOT a hotel room. Basically what we expected.

The White Horse Bar and restaurant is a must. The beaches were crowded so we went over to Clearwater and Turtle Bay which are the old US Navy base beaches and they were great! we had the beach to ourselves pretty much and they had amenities.
Don't Miss: Horse carriage ride. Don't miss Dolphin Quest also!

Pros: Bermuda

Cons: Smoke smell everywhere
