Worst Ship At Sea

Sail Date: December 01, 2006

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Room Type: Oceanview

We sailed NCL Majestys seven-day Western Caribbean cruise in December of last year. It was my 17th cruise and, by far, the worst cruise I have ever taken. Our cabin was miniscule. The public areas are very small. The Palace Theater has very low ceilings and the quality of the entertainment is poor. I dont care for Freestyle Dining. Part of the cruise experience is meeting new table mates and knowing your waiter. The wait at Seven Seas Restaurant and Four Seasons Restaurant was about one hour every evening.

NCL Majesty seems to attract two types of people; people who will tolerate an inferior ship because they can sail from Charleston without getting on an airplane and people who want to cruise at a cheap price. Majesty does offer an inexpensive cruise, but you get a crummy ship, terrible accommodations, bad food, and a generally inferior product. Id rather travel less often and travel on a good cruise line. NCL is the pits.

Pros: price (nothing else)

Cons: food, cabin, entertainment, public areas

Recommends Norwegian Majesty (RETIRED) 137? No.
