TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Sail Date: March 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Pool area was tiny and filthy. Not nearly enough dining rooms or space. Not enough deck chairs or deck space.

Pros: Getting off of the ship and going home

Cons: The ship, the service, long lines and waits for dinner, missed ports, late arrivals in ports, way overbooked and crowded

Recommends Norwegian Majesty (RETIRED)? No.

Children's Programs
Terrible for pre-teens. Our kids went on one activity and refused to go back. Ages 10 and 11.
Food and Dining
Food quality was poor. One lady claimed she got food poisoning. The was not much variety in the buffets. Restaurant food was ok, not great. Deserts were terrible. Ice cream always arrived "soupy." Service was ususally impersonal, but a waiter named Rocky was great. Very long lines 1-2 hours for dinner, ridiculous. Very inconvenient.
Ship Quality
The ship is not very nice at all. Never got a deck chair all week.
Service and Staff
Three staff members actually held friendly conversations with us all week. Mostly felt like a "number" all week. Very agressive in pushing alcohol and show irritation when you do not order. When I did order a beer, one guy tried to sell me a bucket of five and hassled me about it. It always seemd like it was about them and never about us.
Entertainment
There was nothing to do on this ship. The singers were good. Other than that, all the ship offers are two tiny pools, dining, bingo, casino and a few evening entertainers.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room was adequate. Beds were terrible - like a military cot. Room stewards were great.
