Cheap all respects

Sail Date: February 01, 2008

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

First the good: the stewards were friendly and knew our names by the first day; the price was great for a one week cruise; the passengers we met as a result of freestyle cruising were friendly and diverse.

Now the not-so-good: The food was almost ok; the staff (although underpaid) was mostly unfriendly; the waiters got the orders wrong 95% of the time; when asking for seconds, we were given the eye roll as if they had to pay for it out of their own pocket; the buffet was horrible; if you sleep past 8:30 am, the only breakfast you can get is the same powdered watery eggs and overcooked bacon on the upper deck, with some canned fruit and rolls; if you were hungry after 9:30 pm, you had hotdogs or hamburgers...that's about it; special requests in the dining room were non-existent; if the staff was busy, they would barely even recognize that you are there.

Pros: great price

Cons: you get what you pay for

Recommends Norwegian Majesty (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
Needs to be decommissioned
Food and Dining
Horrible - see above
If you're used to large ships with lots to do, this isn't for you. Got a little boring at sea.
Cabin / Stateroom
Expectedly small, but managable
Service and Staff
With a few exceptions, most were not "service oriented"
