Boston to Bermuda on Norwegian Majesty

Sail Date: September 02, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship is small and definitely older. The food was of poor quality. They had an ice cream bar every day and I saw the server put colored sprinkles that had fallen out of the dish, back into the dish of sprinkles. At the pasta bar they kept using the same pan over and over so if you never know what you will get in with your pasta. The price for bingo got higher and higher with every session. The cruise hosts were nice but were over the top and didn't seem genuine. Drink prices were high and they kept pushing drinks like crazy. Bermuda was beautiful but expensive.

Pros: Sitting on deck 7

Cons: Food was horrible

Recommends Norwegian Majesty (RETIRED)? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
The bathroom smelled and the room wasn't very clean.
Ship Quality
The room was a good size. The bathroom was kind of stinky and the soap dispenser came off the wall. The remote control for the TV didn't work either.
Service and Staff
The staff was very friendly. The cocktail waiters were very pushy on selling alcohol. Twice I saw two of the cruise hosts fall asleep during entertainment.
Entertainment
Food and Dining
buffet wasn't very good. The quality of the food was no better than a cafeteria. The portions were very, very small. Two of the buffet stations were located outside near the pool. At night it got very, very cold while waiting for pasta. The pasta station took a long time since there was only one cook.
St. George's, Bermuda
Not much to see in this small town. There are some shops and a few restaurants. Hamilton and the western part of the island is more exciting.
