DISABLED ENGINE, PORT OF CALL ELIMINATED

Sail Date: November 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

One Engine was DISABLED BEFORE we EMBARKED. There was a 4 hour wait to board the ship. NCL Corp decided to continue the cruise anyway with FULL KNOWLEDGE of VERY STORMY SEAS in the Carribean!!!!. AFTER we were aboard, Corp RESCHEDULED EACH PORT!!!!. They ELIMINATED the port that we most wanted to see THE CAYMAN ISLANDS!!!!. There were at least 1,000 VERY UNHAPPY NCL CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF CORPORATE INATTENTION... NCL CORP ATTITUDE WAS IMPERIOUS... Not only did we miss a port but the passingers could have been IN DANGER traveling into KNOWN STORMY WEATHER with one Engine DISABLED.... CORPORATE IS TOTALLY UNREPONSIVE. Please BE WARE. I have crused extensively. I would NEVER CRUISE NORWEGIAN AGAIN !!!

Pros: Very POSTIIVE Crew Members

Cons: MIAMI CORP OFFICES OF NCL DID NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Recommends Norwegian Majesty (RETIRED)? No.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Entertainment
Service and Staff
The CREW had a TOTALLY DIFFERENT ATTITUDE than their Corporate Office... EACH CREW MEMBER was VERY ATTENTIVE and RESPONSIBLE. They were aware of the IRREGULARITIES of the PROFIT DRIVEN DECISIONS of the Miami Corporate Offices... CREW COULD NOT BE ANY BETTER!!!
