BEWARE OF NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINES

SMALL, DIRTY ROTTEN SHIP. HORRIBLE SERVICE. VERY UNFRIENDLY CREW. NEVER SMILED! BEWARE THAT NCL HAS CHANGED THEIR POLICY --LISTEN CAREFULLY PEOPLE...THE FRONT DESK RECEPTION WHERE YOU CHECK IN - PRE-CHARGES YOUR DEBIT CARD!!!!!!!! WE HAD A DEBIT CARD AND THEY TOOK ALL- I MEAN ALL- OUR CREDIT OFF IT SO WHEN WE GOT TO BERMUDA WE DIDN'T HAVE A DIME TO DO ANYTHING SINCE THEY "USED UP" OUR CREDIT!! WE WERE HAVING DINNER AT A NICE RESTAURANT IN ST. GEORGES AND WHEN THE BILL CAME,OUR DEBIT CARD WAS DECLINED. WE THEN RAN BACK TO THE SHIP AND THAT IS WHEN THEY TOLD US THAT IS THEIR POLICY TO PRECHARGE!!! ANYWAY, .WE TOLD THEM OUR PREDICAMENT--THAT WE JUST HAD A NICE MEAL OUT AND NEEDED TO PAY FOR IT. WE ASKED THEM TO CREDIT BACK OUR CARD AND THEY WOULDN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WE WERE NEVER TOLD OF THIS!
WE WERE SO HUMILIATED. THANK GOD THE OWNER OF THE RESTUARANT TOOK PITY ON US AND LET US WRITE A PERSONAL CHECK. WHICH BY THE GRACE OF GOD I CARRIED ONE IN MY WALLET! OUR VACATION WAS RUINED IN BERMUDA SINCE THEY TOOK ALL OUR MONEY OFF OUR DEBIT CARD UPFRONT , THERFORE LOSING OUT ON DOING EXCURSIONS, DINNERS, ETC.......................NEVER WILL I SAIL NCL AGAIN! IRONICALLY, WE ARE "LATITUDES" MEMBERS TOO ( WHEN YOU HAVE SAILED MULTIPLE TIMES ON NCL). BIG DIFFERENCE THAT MADE.......................NOT!

Pros: THE ISLAND OF BERMUDA

Cons: THE FOOD, THE SERVICE, THE LACK OF CLEANINESS, THE ENTERTAINMENT,

Cabin / Stateroom
WE WERE IN A DECENT SIZE WINDOW CABIN ( NO BALCONIES ON THIS SHIP)...THE SIZE WAS OK..BUT THE CARPET WAS STAINED AND FILTHY.
THE SHOWER RAN OUT OF HOT WATER CONSTANTLY AND WE HAD TO DEAL WITH THE BROWN WATER. OUR ROOM STEWARDS DID A NICE JOB THOUGH OF TIDYING UP.
Service and Staff
RUN...RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM NCL. AT LEAST ON THIS SHIP THAT IS. THESE EMPLOYEES ON THE SHIP MADE YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WERE BOTHERING THEM WHEN YOU ASKED A QUESTION (THAT'S IF THEY COULD SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!!!). IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF ONE PERSON WORKING ON THIS SHIP CRACKED A SMILE--EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T MEAN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN MY 46 YRS OF TRAVEL!
Entertainment
PRETTY LAME. HOWEVER, THERE WERE TWO COMEDIANS THAT WERE QUITE FUNNY...AL DUCHARME AND PETER SASSO. I ENJOYED THEIR SHOWS.
HOWEVER, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS BELOW EVEN A HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION SHOW!!
Children's Programs
BRING A FLASHLIGHT AND BREATHING APPARTUS IF YOUR KIDS GO INTO THE ARCADE ON THE MAJESTY. MY CLOSET AT HOME IS BIGGER. THEY STUFF ALL THESE MACHINES IN THERE LIKE SARDINES, WHICH BY THE WAY, 1/2 OF THE GAME MACHINES WERE BROKEN, SO YOU HAVE ABOUT 20 KIDS STUFFED IN THERE, ALL WAITING TO GET ON A "WORKING MACHINE"....TEMPERATURE WAS A COOL 105*-- AND IT WAS PRETTY DARK. KIDS PROGRAM IS A JOKE.
Ship Quality
BEWARE OF THE OLDER SHIPS-WE SAILED FROM BOSTON TO BERMUDA ON THE NORWEGAIN MAJESTY AND IT WAS IN DEPLORABLE SHAPE. THE SHIP ITSELF WAS COMPLETELY FILTHY. THE WATER WAS LITERALLY BROWN IN OUR STATEROOM. I CAME HOME WITH SOME KIND OF FOOD POISIONING AS WELL.
Food and Dining
WE HAVE BEEN ON MANY CRUISES, AND THIS BY FAR WAS THE WORST AS FAR AS THE FOOD GOES. THE FOOD WAS SO TERRIBLE (-INEDIBLE-) THAT WE OPTED NOT TO EAT! IMAGINE THAT! THE ONLY GOOD RESTURANT WAS THE SPECAILTY ONE "LE BISTRO"- BUT BE PREPARED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS IMMEDIATELY ONCE YOU GET ONBOARD. THE BREAKFAST, LUNCHEON AND DINNER "BUFFET" WAS REPULISVE.
St. George's, Bermuda
HORESHOE BAY -SOUTHAMPTON BEACHES- STICK TO THE SMALL PARISHES. FOUND HAMILTON TOO BUSY AND DIRTY.
Don't Miss: THE KINDNESS OF MANAGER STEVEN WALSH AT WHITE HORSE TAVERN IN ST. GEORGES-GREAT FOOD! GREAT SERVICE!
