Review summary

This cruise was a great way to experience Alaska! Each port had something different to offer and Vancouver is a "must see" city at the beginning of your trip. We took our 2 young adults with us and definitely enjoyed this as a family vacation. The ship was clean & beautiful and had lots to offer in the way of activities & entertainment. The staff was wonderful! The only downfall is that the cruise line needs to include a lounge with current music to appeal to those who want that. Too many oldies for the younger cruisers and for those who like Top 40 music.

The food & service in the main dining rooms were fantastic! The Asain restaurant was subpar. O'Sheehan's was a nice change and the food was good. The Garden Cafe was great for breakfast & lunch with plenty of delicious options.

All of the shows were great and the performers were wonderful. The only thing that we weren't happy with is that although the age group is older on an Alaskan cruise, there was no option for those who like current music (not always just the young people in the crowd!). It would also be nice to have a comedy club as an option, rather than all of the musical options.

Service in the main dining rooms was wonderful and the staff replaced the iems on the buffet continuously. The staff was friendly and always helpful.

Ship tip

This was a fun ship with many different options for dining & activities. Tsar's Palace is a beautiful dining room with great food & service. At the end of our cruise, we decided this is the place for dinner each night! Lots of great shows & entertainment each night. Be sure to participate in the activities!
