We would do it again!

Sail Date: September 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

This ship is large and holds a lot of passengers but I didn't feel crowded...except when eating in the Garden Cafe (main dining room) as at times\, it was difficult to find a table. We were happy with the appearance and functionality of our stateroom.

Pros: Seeing the beauty and majesty of Alaska

Cons: Not having wifi connections on the ship

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
The buffet areas are well done and the food is certainly not isn't top-chef quality\, but it is certainly not bad! The food was appropriately hot/cold\, the staff kept the areas clean\, and the options were plentiful. No complaints.
Cabin / Stateroom
We were pleased with the size\, storage options and functionality of our stateroom. We were mid-ship near the elevators so it was also very convenient.
Service and Staff
Norwegian does a very good job in training their staff!
Most of the activities didn't interest us so we didn't participate; the entertainment was average quality.
Children's Programs
Our granchildren\, ages 3 and 5 were very happy to go to the Splash Acadamy at various times of the day or evening and the staff treated them and their parents very well.
