12 Night Southern Caribbean (New York Roundtrip) Sail Date: January 06, 2013 Cabin Type: Inside Cabin Number:10561 Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 4 years ago
Sailing from NY negates the need to make air connections in unpredictable winter weather. I wish the reports from the bridge gave more than a weather report. Sightings of passing ships or large marine mammels would be a nice diversion for the six sea days. Although I've been on six cruises, It is still helpful to get port information, de-embarking, instead of the shopping network. A first time traveler would be very confused. Generally this was a budget cruise and as long as you don't have grandiose expectations, you can come away pleased. This was told to us in a surly manner by the crew person conducting the safety drill prior to departure.
