there were pros and cons with this cruise, as there are with any cruise. Here#39;s the things i didn#39;t like. the room sizes were very small ( compared to other cruise lines i have been on ) the hallways were so narrow you could not walk 2 people going in different directions at the same time, someone would have to turn and lean on wall so others could pass. the food was ok. nothing was great or spectacular it was just OK. the garden cafe ( for buffet bfast lunch and dinner ) was fair. the first day on the ship it seemed like there was so many choices but the same choices were there the remainder of the cruise. breakfast was the same every morning, lunch choices were the same, aside from different meats carved and different soups. i never had dinner up there so i can speak about that. the food in the dining rooms were decent....again not great. we did one speciality brunch which was really good. the ship itself was nice but nothing grand. a little dated maybe.
the things we liked were there were always activities throughout the whole day until midnight. always something to do!! the shows were pretty good. they had a hypnotist a comedian and a cirque show that were really good. the staff for the most part were nice and friendly. we had an excellent waitress in the Tsar dining room that we requested every night we were there and she was awesome!! our room steward was great. always addressed us by our first names and our children.
i don#39;t know if i will cruise with NCL again. i definitely had better experiences on other cruise lines.
we did not make it to the bahamas because of the hurricane and had 3 days at sea which was a lot to be stuck on a ship. ncl did nothing for the port we missed, which in my opinion was the really the only good port you were traveling to. we went to florida and stirrip cay. they could have given each passenger an OBC to their account. something to compensate the passengers. but all we got was a 1.23 in port charges whoo hoo!!
NCL was just OK in my opinion.
