Wonderful cruise!

This was a really wonderful scenic cruise and very relaxing. There was not a lot of night life in the ports but there was plenty of shopping if you like jewelry and clothing. While this was an \"Inside Passage\" cruise, note that our course returning from Alaska took us out of sight of land on the Pacific Ocean side of things. While on the open sea, we had \"moderate\" seas between 3 to 5 feet. This caused some very mild rolling motion of the ship which for us was no problem but for some it caused some sea sickness (mostly inside cabin folks who could not see outside). Just keep that in mind if you are new to cruising.

Pros: Scenery\, freestyle dining\, comfortable bed

Cons: OJ from concentrate (at buffet) was too watery (good in dining rooms)

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.

Ship Quality
The ship was large with over 2\,000 guests yet one never felt crowded. The ship was quite clean and the crew worked hard and were very accomodating.

Service and Staff
Antonio Leslie was the best matre'd ever! Once at breakfast he noticed my OJ was too weak (made from a machine like in most hotels) so he went into the kitchen and returned with a tall glass of regular OJ (with pulp) that was not mixed from a machine. Antonio was one of our \"vacation heros\" on board.
Entertainment
The magic show was great and funny too. There were plenty of different things to see and do on board. If you can\, enjoy the Alaska heritage show performed by Steve Hites. It was fun and informative and the songs were great!
