Our Alaskan Adventure

Sail Date: August 18, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our second cruise with NCL and though we got off to a bit of a rough start with our stateroom, the staff did everything promised if given a chance to make it right, and they did!

Pros: Stateroom with balcony - views were spectacular!

Cons: Crowds at dinner (evening)

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!

Ship Quality
Some restroom areas\, particularly near the dining rooms\, were not maintained as well as others.
Food and Dining
We particularly enjoyed the options for wine purchase - it was very nice to have wine corked to enjoy another glass with another meal on another evening.
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom was a little smaller than expected and the layers of mattress.\, padding\, etc. weren't particularly comfortable. Bedding came loose on all corners during the night.
Service and Staff
From our waitress the first night to our cabin/stateroom attendant to bartenders and other crew staff\, we couldn't have asked for more - attentive\, pleasant and generally friendly - nice!
Entertainment
We thoroughly enjoyed the music entertainment.
