7 Night Alaska Sawyer Glacier (Seattle Roundtrip)
Sail Date: August 11, 2012
Ship: Norwegian Jewel
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
The ship is quite attractive without being gaudy. The staff is uniformly excellent. The security staff is unobtrusive but thorough.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The staff and chefs in the Tsar's dining room provided excellent gluten-free food for my wife. Tsar's is very pleasant to dine in\, with very attractive decor and paintings.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Music is much too loud. We avoided most of the music presentations because they hurt our ears.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
While we prefer a much smaller ship\, this is the best large ship we've been on. The layout is convenient\, elevators are sufficiently large. The chairs in the library are uncomfortable\, though.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5

Pros: food and food service\, behind-the-scenes tour\, ship decor

Cons: Volume at music venues (MUCH too loud)\, smoke on our balcony

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!
