My wife and I recently sailed on NCL's Gem, our first cruise, and we were not sure what to expect. As we entered were greeted by a very friendly staff and a clean ship. Our stateroom was clean, modern looking and larger than what were expecting,based on information provided by friends who have cruised in the past. The GEM has many dinning choices, 2 main dinning rooms, along with specialty dinning options, Italian, Sushi, Habachi and French (not forgetting the buffet and snack options) We had most of our meals in the main dinning room and we really enjoyed not having a set dinning time assigned to us. The GEM has live music all over, we enjoyed a live band playing out at the pool while relaxing in one of the four hot tubs. The GEM also provided great comedy shows nighly, along with variety shows. The late night activities were designed to allow all adult age levels to participated- 70's dance party, dress white party and adult games such as the not so newly wed game, dating game. Over all this ships staff is NCL's GEM.
