The ships colorful exterior was so inviting. Everything was so clean and well taken care of. We have cruised on Carnival and Royal Caribbean but this was over-the-top amazing. We will book now on NCL only! The whole cruise had a laid back feeling. Staff was ALWAYS there if you needed something but didn't bother you constantly for drinks or other purchases like some other cruise lines do. The entertainment was remarkable every night.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We loved the Freestyle dining. There was no given dining time so you didn't have to plan your day around dinner. We showed up when we felt like it and never had to wait. The food was incredible. The lunch and breakfast buffet offers something for everyone.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was unbelievable. There was live entertainment at all times in different parts of the ship. The dancers in the shows were as good if not better than some Broadway entertainers we have seen. Soooo much talent on the Jewel!!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We only felt bad for the staff for doing so much for us. They work tirelessly and happily all day. You will never see any of them without a friendly smile and many know your name after the first day. We became close to a few waiters and learned about their countries and families. We left feeling like we will miss our newly made friends.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship seemed large but within a day, we were able to navigate around each deck easily. The lounges were never crowded and offered a fun or quiet place to sit.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an inside midship cabin to save a little money. We expected very small but were pleasantly surprised by the size. We never wished we had booked a suite as this room was quite large.

Pros: Where do we start!!? Cruising out of NYC on the Jewel was breathtaking. The lounges and restaurants were similar to the best in NYC! The cabins are large.

Cons: It ended!

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!
