Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
bathrooms....really small, there was no room to get out from the side of the bed, you had to crawl out from the foot of the bed. We had to ask for 3 remote controls before we got one that worked. Our cabin staff were never around, which isn't always a bad thing, they around too much on some ships.
Ship Quality
the jewel is a good size ship..not much room walking between the lounge chairs on the sun deck. The staff does a nice job keeping everything clean
Service and Staff
other than our cabin Stewart, the staff were very friendly and did a great job. Those folks work really hard and appear to love what the do.
Entertainment
the dancers, acrobats and comedians were all excellent.... the best part of the cruise
Food and Dining
the food was ok....we ate at Mama's the Italian specialty restaurants. My meal was terrible-some type of veal even the dessert was bad, my wife's chicken parm was good.....i actually got sick from the rib eye in the main dining room one night. I think it was food poisoning. (tossed my cookies that night)
I did like the free style dining...you can eat diner at anytime up until 10 pm.
The Blue Lagoon is a good option (it is an anytime- free restaurant) serves snack food and has a small breakfast menu so you don't have deal with craziness at the buffet.
We ordered the $5 room service pizza one night (not to good) 6 slices out of 8 ended up as fish food......
The Japanese specialty restaurant was good but they were skimpy on the servings, so if you eat there, be prepared to hit the late night snacks
