Disappointing

Sail Date: September 10, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

I think the ship needs updating. Deck 8 has a terrible smell in the corridors and this was commented by many cruisers.

Pros: The staff, from the dining room, cabin stewards, everyone was pleasant, helpful and nice

Cons: The fact that people go to the dining rooms for dinner sloppy. There needs to be a dress code that is enforced. I think Norwegian is encouraging a SLOPPY class of cruisers. The food was not very good especially at dinner. The portions were small in the dining room

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.

Food and Dining
Blue Lagoon was very good at all times but not the dining rooms
Cabin / Stateroom
I was unable to walk around our King size bed, and kept bumping into the desk and I do have bruises due to this.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Due to all the construction, it was not a pleasant day out.
Nassau, Bahamas
We enjoyed the shopping, the ferry trip to Paradise Island. The people who live and work in Nassau are very friendly.
Port Canaveral, Florida
My husband had a fabulous day at the space centre. I did the trip to Coco shopping and there was one small shopping area. Not a good day out.
