A big disappointment

Sail Date: August 20, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The carpet in our room was filthy with wear and stains. Should have been either steam cleaned or changed. The ship was a nice ship.

Pros: the room (other than the carpet) and the ship was nice

Cons: We spent 3 days straight on the ocean, they should have sent us to Bermuda or Canada instead of Stirrup Cay

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!

Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
The carpet was filthy from wear. Should have been changed. The balcany was nice.
Service and Staff
Mostly everyone was great except for when we went to stirrup cay. We waited to get the first teather boat ticket and waited a long time to get off the ship onto the teather boat. We commented regarding the poor organization of this and a crew member stated " maybe you can come up with a better way to get 3,000 people off the ship".
Entertainment
Entertainment was good. But we were board after 3 days on the ocean. The pool was always crowded and the ship suddenly got SMALL.
Children's Programs
Food and Dining
NCL should charge more instead of spending extra for the better food like Cagney's steakhouse or Tempenyaki
