Nice summer cruise on NCL

Sail Date: July 16, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The crew was very helpful and friendly. Ship was clean and well maintained. The ship has 2 restaurants & 3 buffet areas open with out a charge. There are 6 or 7 fee for service restaurants. It appears that NCL focus on the fee for service restaurants has hurt the quality and variety of food available in the general restaurants. The entertainment ranged from excellent for the dancers and music to fair for the magician. Overall this was a good cruise.

Pros: NCL Freestyle approach to dinning and disembarkation

Cons: Fitness center has mostly old equipment; most of it appears to be the original equipment from 2005. On one day 4 tread mills and 2 bikes were out of order.
