NOT WORTH THE MONEY

Sail Date: April 03, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

Not happy with the ship.....it had a poor lay out.....all tiny rooms, not a big atrium. Not happy with the corporate end of NCL. The actual behind the scenes people were great and very accomidating but the managment did not know did not budge to accomodate you at all. We were told very different things when we called 4 time the week prior to departing. Then when we got on the ship....everything they told us was different and each person on board had a different story.

Pros: FOOD WAS GOOD

Cons: THEY NICKLE AND DIME YOU.....

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.

Entertainment
Not good for young adults. the 18-22 age are bored. Not much to do on the activities unless you want to pay alot more money. $40 to play 3 cards of bingo....not worth it. All of the tastings (wine, martini, beer) were $15+ per person per day
Ship Quality
very clean, poor layout
Cabin / Stateroom
We were suppose to have a double bed with 2 pull down's. We ended up with 2 singles, a trundle and a pull down. My husband and I had to sleep in 2 different beds at different levels.
Food and Dining
very upset that if you want to go to a specialty restaurant you have to pay a cover charge, then when you get into the restaurant a portion of the meal is another $10 on top. Not worth the extra money.
Service and Staff
the behind the scenes people were great...very attentitive
Port Canaveral, Florida
boring.....don't pay for the cocoa beach excursion. the same bus takes you to the beach, walmart and the mall
Nassau, Bahamas
Not enough time
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas
Not enough time
