We have cruised before, and we felt that on the freestyle cruising the staff knew that we may not see them again, and they did not try as hard when serving us. Most of the time they didn't even ask us if we wanted drinks. The staff made it seem as they did this on a daily basis, and did not make us feel "special". The food was not what we expected at all. The Blue Lagoon specifically was actually horrible. And to top it all off it took us 3 and a half hours to get off the ship. A VERY disorgainized ship.

Cons: The freestyle cruising

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Smallest we have ever been in.
Other cruises had MUCH better entertainment
Service and Staff
Except for the select few, the staff never went out of their way knowing that they may never see us again.
Children's Programs
The Nickelodeon staff was part of the select few who were exceptional. Great things for kids to keep busy. We did not take advantage of the day care.
Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Some were good, others were just horrible.
