Norwegian Jewel Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Review SummaryWe truly enjoyed our cruise to the Western Caribbean. We have been on 20+ cruises and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this cruise. Free style dining was a very positive experience - we enjoyed eating on our time schedule in a dining facility we chose. We always asked to "share a table" and met many wonderful new friends doing this.
Our best new experience was a "spa Day." On one of the port days, we decided to stay on board and spend the day in the spa. For only $20 each, we had access to the sauna, the hot tubs, the steam room, the Japanese plunge pool, and heated lounge chairs overlooking the front of the ship. A very relaxing day right in the middle of our cruise. We strongly recommend this.
Tendering was a real problem - the lines were long to get on, they moved slowly, and way too much time was wasted in trying to get into port or to the private Island. Of our four stops, only one had a dock, so these tenders were an issue.
Pros: Free style cruising is a wonderful way to enjoy a quality dining experience. We loved the flexability of eating when we wanted, where we wanted, and with how large a group. We enjoyed
Cons: tendering on the Jewel is awful - long lines, slow progress, waste of time
