An Enjoyable Cruise !!

Sail Date: December 01, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

This was our first Cruise and we took our two teenage children with us. We decided to take a New Years Cruise to get away from the cold Illinois Winter. This choice was an excellent one. We loved the Free Style Cruising being able to eat whenever we wanted. The only drawback was we did have to plan around the evening activities. Speaking of which, the shows at night were terrific! We saw every show possible, and no only did we enjoy them, but so did our Children. We were allowed as parents to go out to the different Night Clubs, while there were dances and activities for the teens in the evening also. They had murder mystery dinners, scavenger hunts and many other games to keep them entertained. They seemed to be very few younger children on the boat. We saw few kids from under the age of 10 (not to say there werent any, but they didnt overrun the ship like I read about from another review). We did hit some rough seas on our third night, and it stayed pretty rough for the remainder of the cruise. We had brought patches, and didnt hesitate to use them.

Pros: The Entertainment, and Specialty Restaurants

Cons: They need more Bartenders

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? Yes!
