This is our second cruise on the jewel. We were a little disappointed. We enjoyed the "freestyle" atmosphere, but the dining experience was marginal. Service in the Tsars lounge was lacking. Long lines to dine, and slow service were the norm. We had the impression they had pehaps cut their staffing. It was difficult to make reservations for the specialty restaurants. Cagney's was particularly disappointing. We paid a $25 per person surcharge for a steak and lobster meal I would have sent back in another restaurant. On a more positive note, the food in most places was good; especially in "Tappenyaki". The service in general was average. I've been on many cruises and normally, the staff is eager to please. On this cruise, we felt their hearts really weren't in it.
