Review SummaryI've been on lots of different cruiselines, but this was my first Norwegian cruise. What a pleasant surprise! The ship was beautiful and well laid out. Concierge and butler service was spectacular - especially since you didn't have to pay that much more for a penthouse cabin (which had two bedrooms and two bathrooms and slept 5!) Much nicer and cheaper than getting two cabins. Penthouse price was comparable or better than just a regular balcony cabin on RC. Service in some of the restaurants is a little slow, and you really should get reservations for each night (call the first day on the ship). The entertainment was much better than most cruiseships. The dancers were fabulous, especially the cirque bijou show; the singers were just ok. The other acts were also very good. The cruise director/staff need to work on the "game show" entertainment activities - they could have done a better job with the poolside games as well as the evening gameshows. Several of the shore excursions were awesome, but a couple of them need to be eliminated. Overall, this was an excellent cruise if you want to relax on a beautiful ship. Great for honeymooners, couples and families with young kids. Not sure if it's for the 'party-all-night' crowd, but still lots of fun.
Pros: Penthouse Cabin; Specialty Restaurants; Entertainment
Cons: Breakfast & Lunch Buffets need help; wine choices were poor and expensive
