Could be better

Sail Date: January 01, 2010

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Inside

My husband & I are in our 30's and we have a 1 yr old. We chose this ship with the understanding that it was Kid Friendly, which it was..... But not for a 1 year old. There were alot of children on the ship and there was a room with some toys in it for children under 2. Otherwise there were NO Activities for us to do as a family besides swim. All of the shows were adult focused. We did not appreciate being put in the corner every time we had a meal in a dining room. The buffet dining had a childrens area that was great. We felt like there was very little to do. The places that we traveled to did not have children friendly excursions. Belize and Roatan were unsafe to walk around with lots of people hasseling you and plainly wearing machete knives as an accessory. In the Mexican resteraunt which had a cover of $10pp they need to add Fried Ice Cream to the desert menu. We did have great service and made a few friends. I recommend a more family friendly agenda, activities, and excursions. The new ships have so much more to offer and it seems as if this ship is not trying to keep up. You get what you pay for.

Pros: The pool

Cons: the amount of family friendly activities
