The ship was clean and well-maintained. I liked the idea that hand sanitizers were available all over the ship to help prevent the spreading of germs.

Pros: free-styling dining

Cons: having to pay extra for everything, including soft drinks!

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.

Food and Dining
The food on the lunch and breakfast buffet was great; however, the main dining room could use some improvement. The specialty restaurants are good (with the exception of Mama's Italian Kitchen) but those are all extra.
Cabin / Stateroom
we had a mini-suite on Deck 11--very nice.

Do NOT take the beach excursion. The resort is old and run-down and you have to pay extra for beach umbrellas. The transportation to and from the beach was horrible (old school buses w/o air conditioning) and not enough of them.
Don't Miss: I think you'd have to find that on your own. People who did the sting ray tour which was supposed to be a must see were also disappointed.
