Not my favorite cruise ship

Sail Date: March 23, 2008

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship's public areas are very chopped up. There are a bunch of small lounges and none are very impressive. Because of freestyle dining the 2 main dining rooms were small, dissapointing and the food for dinner was horrible. The only 2 shows worth seeing were the ones with the dance company (they were very talented). The comedy and magic show were ridiculous. We were a large group of 22 and we had a great time together, but the ship had nothing to do with it.

Pros: Disembarking

Cons: Dinner and entertainment

Recommends Norwegian Jewel? No.

Food and Dining
Free style dining was not for us. We prefer having a dinner reservation every night in a beautiful 2 story main dining room. This did not exist on the Jewel.
Children's Programs
Almost nothing on the schedule to entice my kids to go.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
George Town, Grand Cayman
Seven mile beach was boring. Must book an excursion.
Cozumel, Mexico
Jeep and Snorkel was alot of fun
