Norwegian Jewel Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Ship: Norwegian Jewel
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryThe ship was beautifully decorated and the staff was friendly and professional. The ship was also crowded and the staff appeared to be overworked (though this did not show in their attitudes). At the restaurants and buffets, no matter what time you went, it was hard to get in or get through. The sundecks were likewise crowded, though the saltwater pool stayed empty almost all the time (water was very cold).
On the plus side, there were some "nooks and crannies" on the ship where privacy could be had (besides on our balcony). One place was the wavy lounge chairs for two in the Spinnaker Lounge (not at night, though). The best kept secret was the availability of a day pass for the spa facilities. The spa had same-sex dressing rooms-- but there was also a relaxation room with large hot tub, beautiful views, and the most incredible lounge chairs... that my husband and I could share. Passengers could purchase single-day, three-day, or full cruise passes to the spa facilities. Highly recommended.
